OWNERSHIP FROM DAY 1
Retro Solar Energy offers one of the best solar ownership programs in the state. From the very beginning, you are the owner of your solar system. As of now, you are renting power from the utility company, with no return investment. With solar energy, every energy bill you pay goes directly to paying off your solar system. Once you have the solar system paid off, you will no longer have an energy bill from the finance company or your utility company. Our ownership program allows homeowners to add instant equity to their home, whereas a lease puts a lien on the home.
FEDERAL AND STATE TAX INCENTIVES
When you choose to convert to solar energy, the government offers a nonrefundable tax incentive. Until the end of 2023, the federal tax incentive is 30% of the total system cost, with a state tax incentive of $1,000. Beginning January 1, 2022, the government will offer a federal tax incentive of 30% of the total system cost and a $1,000 state tax incentive. This nonrefundable state tax incentive could dramatically decrease your tax liability, while saving you money on your monthly energy bill.
